Space imaging Middle East started in 1997 by introducing Landsat and IRS imagery to the region. Today, the company controls the source for imagery of resolution varying from 15 cm-30 meters. SIME tasks locally from a UAE ground station IKONOS the 1-meter satellite. This capability to task the satellite directly has enabled the company to meet its clients’ requirements in a timely manner. The company can even provide same day delivery for urgent requests. In addition to the -meter resolution satellite the company offers IRS 5-Meter Resolution Imagery, the collected imagery is downloaded and processed by the local ground station. The Company also offers products downlinked from Resourcesat-1 the latest Indian Remote Sensing Satellite.

SIME has entered into a joint venture with Sanborn to provide clients in the region with aerial imagery. To this end a Cessna aircraft has been procured. An experienced crew and a full-fledged technical staff are based in the UAE to operate the aircraft. The aircraft bears a variety of cameras enabling SIME to offer its clients a wide range of products. SIME has access to Sanborn suite of RC series, Digital and Lidar cameras.
