Space Imaging Middle East (SIME) coexhibited with the UAE Armed Forces (Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technologies). IDEX 2005 was held in Abu Dhabi and featured the latest technology and innovations in the industry.
SIME’s participation falls in line with the company’s strategy to be at the forefront of international events. At IDEX, SIME exhibited satellite imagery of several military bases in the region, 3D models as well as imagery applications for military users.
The UAE Armed Forces displayed their 17m Tactical Aerostat System from T-COM, the CAMCOPTER 6.0 by Schiebel (Austria), and the APID 55 tactical surveillance and reconnaissance VTOL UAVs by Cyb Aero (Sweden). The UAVs are currently under development by the UAE Armed Forces, UAVCenter.
On SIME’s presence at IDEX, next to the UAE Armed Forces, Mohammed El-Kadi, SIME’s Managing Director commented: “We are very proud to be co-exhibitng along with the UAE Armed Forces (Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technologies)”. He added
