Space Imaging Middle East took part in the Aman II Conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
SIME Sales and Technical Manager, George Tabakian gave a presentation on the use of geospatial data & solutions for security and other wide-ranging areas.
Geospatial data can be used for building a security plan: satellite maps show the access points whereas 3D models of the area give a better visualization and provide a line of site from near by buildings. It is also used for, planning a quick evacuation route, finding the nearest points of exits (i.e. airports and ports), planning for safe deployment of security personnel and planning for the security of borders between countries.
